Business / Markets development : Maintain contact with existing customers as well as develop new customers in order to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
Partner with other QIAGEN Sales Specialists for the purpose of lead sharing and revenue optimization. Ensure effective communication across the organization and to customers.
Sales Revenues / Budgets : Achieve or exceed objectives by actively selling to end users primarily via the telephone or electronic channels.
Develop a working knowledge of current and potential activities that may affect revenues. Utilize pre-call planning for increased effectiveness. Attend sales meetings
Product Champion : Act as a champion for certain business areas.
Customer Service : Develop a relationship with customers by keeping them aware of the organization’s current policies and practices.
CRM management : Utilize the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales.
Strong scientific background minimum BSc preferred or proven aptitude for laboratory techniques.
Developed knowledge of QIAGEN products (i.e. instrumentation, diagnostic, genomics).
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills at all business levels.
Ability to forecast business at assigned accounts.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Teamplayer with drive and people skills.
Occasional travel may be required to visit customers in person.
