The Quality Manager will be responsiblefor overseeing the process and resources for establishing and maintaining atotal quality management system to achieve both internal and externalrequirements for the GKN AES Parts Repair business in Malaysia.

Develops andimplements procedures and processes that directly affect a Culture of Qualityin day-to-day operations that promote the success of achieving operationalgoals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities As Quality Manager, responsible for Approvals & Quality systems you will work together with multiple stakeholders in order to set up the quality system.

Work location will be flexible as the job will include a frequent amount of business trips and work will be aquired both in the US, Sweden and Malaysia.

  • Setup Quality System to be compatible with the existing quality system in AviationRepair- El Cajon.
  • Create& deliver a plan to obtain necessary customer approvals in order of plannedproduction.
  • Offertraining and establish a handover plan to prepare the local organization forfull accountability.
  • Keypoint of contact with Malaysian Airworthiness Authorities, FAA & EASA
  • Obtainall necessary airworthiness approvals
  • Lead allonsite visits of all certification / approval bodies
  • Setup document management system
  • EstablishQuality training materials & plans for all new hires including new operatorchecks
  • Servesas liaison with manufacturing operations staff to improve product processes, astechnical quality contact with customers and laboratories, and as the company sprimary release authority.
  • Assistsin the development and maintenance of a corporate culture, which supports theoverall business objectives and goals by providing leadership on issues thatinvolve quality, cost, process, schedule and people.
  • Developsand implements an accreditation program for suppliers.
  • Developsand monitors all key Quality systems and procedures ensuring compliance withall customer requirements while supporting cost, schedule and budgetobjectives.
  • Developsand implements internal quality audits to ensure compliance with customerrequirements and proactively supports Engineering and Manufacturing to meet orexceed productions goals.
  • Negotiateswith proposed customers to establish contractual Quality requirements andQuality statements of work.
  • Partnerswith other functional departments for planning and coordination of bestpractice methods, systems, human resource capital and quality systems deployment.
  • Providesleadership and direction for all Quality initiatives with emphasis on teambuilding and employee engagement.
  • Promotesthe business’s commitment to maintain a safe workplace and protect theenvironment in the local communities we do business in.
  • Performother duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
