Position summary

We are looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial technical talent acquisition specialist to support our growing technology capability across Scandinavia.

We have ambitions to grow across a variety of functions. We need someone to represent Gelato and communicate our compelling employee value proposition in an engaging way to potential candidates across Scandinavia.

We expect you to bring a comprehensive understanding of best practice talent acquisition practices. You should be able to independently lead cost effective sourcing through a variety of innovative approaches : events, technology platforms, proactive targeting of candidates, word of mouth and viral activities.

You will support and improve job descriptions and adapt into compelling job advertisements. You will make recommendations to tailor our existing employee value proposition for the Stockholm (and broader Scandinavian) market and improve the candidate experience.

You will work closely with the COO and CTO, both based in London, the SVP of Optimalprint and the CEO of Gelato, both based in Oslo.

And of course, you will be working with the Gelato HR team and the Stockholm office team.

The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

What you'll be doing

You will ultimately be responsible for communicating a compelling employee value proposition and representing Gelato’s brand and culture in the Scandinavian talent market.

You will bring to bear your comprehensive understanding of best practice talent acquisition practices to reduce dependence on external sourcing partners.

You will own the entire end-to-end candidate experience, through to on-boarding.

You will work as part of the HR team. Specifically, you will :

  • Identify and understand business needs and work with leadership team to prioritize talent needs.
  • Develop cost optimized approaches to identify and source great candidates for these roles.
  • Manage the pipeline of candidates and provide support to hiring teams.
  • Support refinement of job descriptions and provide advice and guidance to the business on effective communication to candidates.
  • Leverage innovative approaches to sourcing : events, technology platforms, proactive targeting of candidates, word of mouth and viral activities.
  • Adapt job descriptions into compelling job advertisements, make recommendations to improve the candidate experience.
  • Prepare and distribute offers to candidates as required.
  • Develop an onboarding process for Stockholm that prepares candidates to be successful in Gelato.
  • Develop and refine the employee value proposition with the senior leadership team; identify gaps and inconsistencies and make recommendations to address.
  • Serve as an important guardian of the Gelato culture in the Stockholm office.
  • Make recommendations on when to leverage external sourcing, as required, manage targeted recruitment effectively through third parties.
  • Some travel across Scandinavia and other Gelato offices, as required.

    You understand internal recruiting best practices and how to manage a candidate pipeline and recruiting process. You are an excellent communicator, equally confident in talking to senior leaders, junior team members, technology teams and generalist candidates.

    Moreover, we would like to see evidence of the following in your profile :

  • 4+ years of experience in technology talent acquisition.
  • Proven track record of cost effective talent sourcing and hiring.
  • Ability to understand technical roles and conduct screening interviews
  • Willingness and ability to build and adapt processes to improve effectiveness of hiring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
  • Skilled at working effectively with automated candidate tracking systems (Workable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
