Join us and help to amplify productivity, quality and innovation across Spotify. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to be a part of the Platform Mission.

In the role, you will focus on developing our technology ecosystem and be the co-lead of the Program Management domain within Platform.

The Platform department builds the technology ecosystem that enables Spotify to learn and deliver quickly, while safely and easily scaling to billions of customers, and enabling our rapid employee growth around the globe.

Our team consists of eight organizational units (known as tribes’) that reflect the needs and groupings of our internal customers.

From the shared approaches to supporting and aligning the craft and practice of designers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists.

To the frameworks, capabilities, and tools they need to do their work as effectively, quickly, and safely as possible. We are an amplifier for efficiency, quality, and innovation across Spotify.

The position will be based in Stockholm but handle relationships with partners globally.

What you will do

  • As a Program Manager, you’ll be accountable for driving the execution of the Platform Mission’s central initiatives. These initiatives are often large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide initiatives that we believe will have a significant impact on Spotify within a short to a medium-term timeline.
  • You’ll be responsible for enabling and ensuring great collaboration between teams and partners within the Platform Mission and across the company.
  • While staying true to tech, product, design, and insights principles. Your job will be to amplify the efficiency of cross-disciplinary teams.

  • We expect end-to-end oversight and management and need people who are self-motivated, independent and dedicated. Your programs often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, and it is your job to keep all the players coordinated on the work progress and deadlines.
  • Due to the fast-paced nature and time zone overlap, you’re able to quickly triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure.
  • To be successful in this role, you easily build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with partners at multiple levels.
  • Your strength should lie in seeing the holistic perspective, see how all the moving parts should tie together, and systemize it into a functioning program.

  • You will craft and sustain forums for strategic alignment with key stakeholders and teams within Spotify that wish to impact the specific strategies that you’re driving.
  • As part, the goal for this role is also to support other project and program managers within our Mission and to be the owner of our Program Execution Framework.
  • Who you are

  • You’re passionate about and have extensive experience working in technical Program Management roles, preferably in fast-paced and cross-functional infrastructure teams.
  • You’ve experience running and representing large, cross-functional software projects, and a great communicator that brings clarity to the programs strategies, goals, and progress status.
  • You have a technical background and proven track record of self-motivated performance and perseverance. Furthermore you are data-informed in your work and understand what agile is all about.
  • You’ve experienced working in a cross-functional environment with engineering, product, design, and insights. Identifying and removing blockers, encouraging collaboration is the way you operate.
  • You’re truly a do-er willing to get hands-on solving any problems needed to help the program move forward continuously looking for ways to improve how we work.
  • You’re very structured, organized, and have attention to detail.
  • You've got a consistent record of influencing and delivering without formal authority.
  • You’re an experienced leader comfortable in coaching and mentoring project and program managers on different levels.
